Last week, Athletic Elite had the privilege of contributing to an impactful event hosted by the Police, Crime Commissioner, and Violence Reduction Unit in Northants.
Our founders were invited to speak about how sports-driven frameworks like Project Sideline can play a critical role in addressing anti knife crime through positive intervention. By offering young people from high-risk areas a new path via basketball, structured mentorship, and life-changing opportunities, we are helping shift outcomes across Northamptonshire.
As a proud part of the Northamptonshire basketball community, Athletic Elite has always believed in the power of sport to unite and uplift. Our community branch, Project Sideline, has allowed us to push a more mission-driven message into surrounding communities, working closely with local partners including schools, families, and the police to provide safer, healthier environments for young people.
We’ve seen first-hand how basketball in Northants can be a powerful tool for transformation. What begins on the court often leads to confidence, discipline, and choices that break the cycle of violence and limited opportunity.
At Athletic Elite, we believe in equipping young people with more than just skills on the court we’re building a stronger, safer community through sport.
